The first resident marathoner to cross the finish line at the 2nd Annual Cadet Corps Marathon this Sunday, 7 December will win a glass bottom kayak, thanks to a donation by Cayman Glass-Bottom Kayaks.
“I am happy to support the Marathon in this way,” said Mark Hennings, owner of the recently formed company. “I have no doubt the glass-bottom kayak will be thoroughly enjoyed by the winner. Bob Soto loves both of his!”
“We are thrilled about Cayman Glass-Bottom Kayaks’ generous gift,” said Rhonda Kelly of Kelly Holding Ltd., organiser of the Expo and the Marathon. “A kayak can serve as an excellent training tool for a runner or just a form of recreation. What a great incentive for our marathoners!”
The kayak is worth over $900 and will be on display at the Health & Fitness Expo on Saturday, 6 December at the Marriott from 10:00 am – 4:00pm and at the Start/Finish line on Sunday.
Registration for the Marathon, Half Marathon and 4-Person Relay is still open, says Rhonda, and runners can sign up at the Health & Fitness Expo., or enter online at www.caymanislandsmarathon.com
