Digicel is once again demonstrating its community spirit through its sponsorship of the Cayman Islands Marathon which takes place on Sunday, 2 December.
This is the second year that the telecommunications behemoth has signed on as a major sponsor of the race, and organisers are grateful for the ongoing commitment that the company has made to support the event, which wholly benefits the Cayman Islands Cadets Corps and the Cayman Islands Cancer Society.
“We are thrilled that Digicel is joining our group of sponsors again this year,” said Rhonda Kelly of Kelly Holding Ltd., the organizer of the Marathon. “As a charity event, we cannot put on this race without support from the corporate community in the form of sponsorship. Digicel’s contribution of both cash and prizes helps us to enhance the race for our runners and we are thankful for their backing of the Cayman Islands Marathon.”
“We are proud to be associated once again with the Cayman Islands Marathon, a great event which promotes not only good will towards others in the form of charitable giving but also advances the message of the importance of health and fitness to our general wellbeing,” said Crystal Gomez, Digicel Senior Marketing Executive. “We encourage everyone to get involved by either running or volunteering time, and we wish the organizers another successful race.”
